The Big Bend Chapter of the Florida State Guardianship Association (BBFSGA) provides education and training to court-appointed legal guardians of adults with mental and/or physical disabilities who are incapable of managing all or some of their affairs.

Our Mission

The Big Bend Chapter of the Florida State Guardianship Association (BBFSGA) is dedicated to promoting the protection and dignity of persons who lack capacity to manage themselves and/or their property, and to furthering the profession of guardianship as an accountable and protective service through education, networking, and legislative action.

8-Hour Guardianship Training Online Course

The Big Bend Chapter of the Florida State Guardianship Association (BBFSGA) provides education and training to court-appointed family guardians of adults with mental and/or physical disabilities who are incapable of managing all or some of their affairs. Our course also meets the requirement for persons named as guardian of the minor.

We offer our training in a classroom setting as well as online. Both courses contain seven modules and are designed to meet the 8-hour training requirement for those seeking legal guardianship in the state of Florida. It has been pre-approved by Florida’s 2 nd Judicial Circuit. Click here to access this training.
